Denise Lavigne

Denise Lavigne has been teaching and coaching golf for over 40 years, bringing a wealth of international experience and expertise to players of all levels. She is a Class A Member of the LPGA, PGA of Canada, and Swiss PGA, and is also a member of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC). In addition, Denise is a certified golf fitness trainer through the Titleist Performance Institute.

In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the game, Denise was inducted into the Golf Québec Hall of Fame in May 2025.

A graduate of Florida International University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education on a golf scholarship, Denise currently serves as Director of Instruction at The Club at Quail Ridge in Boynton Beach, Florida.

Denise’s coaching career spans the globe. She spent 15 years teaching at Golf Club de Genève in Switzerland (1990–2005), and in 2010, she was appointed Swiss National Ladies and Girls Coach. In Canada, she has played a key role in developing competitive players, coaching the Québec women’s team at the 2009 Canada Games in Prince Edward Island (earning one silver and two bronze medals). As Golf Québec’s Head Coach in 2006, she led the Junior Girls team to first-place finishes in both team and individual competitions.

Dedicated to continuous growth, Denise is committed to staying at the forefront of coaching techniques while evolving her knowledge of the game.

Her teaching philosophy is simple:

“Fit the student’s needs and make the learning process a fun and rewarding experience.”

As a player, Denise has an impressive competitive background. She was the Québec Amateur Champion in 1980 and a three-time runner-up at the Canadian Championships across Junior, Amateur, and Professional divisions. Her playing career includes appearances in the U.S. Amateur Championship, LPGA major events, as well as participation on the European and Asian Tours and U.S. mini-tours.

Throughout her career, Denise has guided numerous elite junior players to success at the amateur, collegiate, and professional levels. Notable players she has coached include:
